I’ve heard some collections callers can be rude or aggressive. What’s the ARS approach?
ARS is committed to quality and compliance. In fact, Do the Right Thing is our #1 Core Value. We are not willing to sacrifice long-term success for short-term success. Our clients include the top credit card issuers in the world, and we are committed to speaking with their customers in a legal, professional, empathic way.
Do I need collections experience?
No. Many of our top performers came to ARS with little or no collections experience. If you have the talent it requires to succeed, we can teach you the skills. Our intensive paid training program for account representatives sets you up for success.
What about other positions?
ARS does recruit for positions other than account representative. In these cases, we look for skills related to specialized areas, and for a record of critical thinking and creativity.
So how do you know if I’m qualified?
The first step to evaluating your talent for most of our jobs is a skills assessment. You’ll complete a personality assessment, basic computer assessment, and typing test. Assessments usually take about 45 minutes.
What happens after the assessments?
After your assessments, you participate in a phone interview or job preview with an ARS talent selection specialist (TSS). It’s our chance to learn more about you and your potential for success at ARS.
If you and the TSS are both comfortable with moving on in the selection process, you’ll visit one of our sites for an in-person interview. Come prepared to ask questions that are important to you when looking for a new career.
Will you do a background check?
Yes. All candidates must pass a background check, employment verification and drug screen before working for ARS.
What kind of pay can I expect?
We are a performance culture and results matter most. So, we pay for performance and offer account representatives a competitive base with significant bonus potential.
